The Clé de Cartier was introduced at SIHH 2015. The case, available in a number of sizes, has a soft profile somewhere in between 'round' and 'cushion'. While at first glance the look is not unlike watches from the late sixties and early seventies, both details and finish are distinctively modern and Cartier. It's name is a reference to the clever locking system of the crown - the 'key'.The Clé de Cartier Mysterious Hours builds upon the brand's long tradition of mysterious clocks, with the hands seemingly floating in thin air through the use of a crescent shaped movement and clever gearing. Reference WHCL0003 has a palladium case set with 469 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 4.13 carats. The white gold dial set is with 359 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 1.21 carats and an additional 43 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 0.42 carats are found on the folding buckle.
